D7 Visa Portugal: Complete Guide for Passive Income Earners and Retirees
Visão Geral
The **D7 Visa** (Visto para Residência para Titulares de Rendimentos de Fonte Estrangeira) — commonly called the "Passive Income Visa" or "Retirement Visa" — is a Portuguese long-stay visa for non-EU/EEA/Swiss nationals who receive regular income from sources outside Portugal (pensions, rental income, dividends, royalties, remote business income, or other passive income) and wish to reside in Portugal without engaging in local employment. It is one of Portugal's most popular immigration pathways for retirees, investors, and financially independent individuals. The D7 does not require a minimum investment and has no requirement to spend a minimum number of days in Portugal (though tax residency rules may apply separately).
